Welcome to the Freedom Camp Podcast — rooted in truth, growing in freedom, and built on the belief that you weren’t meant to grow alone. Each week, you’ll hear honest stories, insights, and simple questions to help you uncover the unseen things that keep you from fully living in the freedom that’s already yours. This is your space to reconnect with your authentic self — and grow in freedom, on purpose.
I talk about Freedom Camp on this podcast all the time, but it occurred to me recently that I've never really explained what it is.
So today, I'm taking you inside.
What happens on a Monday? What does group coaching actually look like? Why isn't Freedom Camp a course? What are women experiencing as they practice growing in freedom together? And perhaps most importantly, how do you know if Freedom Camp might be right for you?
Freedom Camp isn't about collecting more information or becoming a shinier, more productive version of yourself. It's a place to practice becoming increasingly aware of who God created you to be and learning to live from that place.
Freedom Camp doors are open now for the final time in 2026. Doors close September 5 at midnight, and Round 3 begins September 7.

Welcome to the Freedom Camp Podcast, rooted in truth, growing in freedom, and built on the belief that you weren't meant to grow alone. Each week I'll share honest stories, insights, and simple questions to help you explore the unseen things that keep you from living in the freedom that's already yours. And take brave intentional steps toward the life you were made for. This is your space to reconnect with your authentic self and grow in freedom on purpose. You know, it dawned on me recently that I don't think I've ever explained or shared what Freedom Camp is like on the Freedom Camp podcast. And that seems like a bit of an oversight on my part. But since the doors are open right now for the last time in 2026, I thought it would be a pretty good time to tell you. And not just tell you what's included. You can check that out on the webpage, which as usual is linked wherever show notes are. I want to tell you what it actually feels like to be there. I thought I would start by sharing some of the questions that I've gotten and then share the answer. So one of the questions that I get frequently is why does Freedom Camp exist? And I think that most of us know a lot. Like we've read books, we've listened to podcasts, we've done Bible studies, we've even probably saved Instagram posts that are apparently going to change our lives and then never looked at them again. At least I know I have. Typically, someone's going to share something, maybe something that they're wrestling with or something that they want clarity on. And then maybe I'm going to ask a couple questions and the two of us are going to explore it. And the rest of us are going to listen. But inevitably, even though it's her situation, you or somebody else is going to realize, oh wait, I do that too. Or the conversation I just had with my neighbor was about this very same thing. And that's the magic of group coaching. Because my job isn't to tell you how to live your life. You are the expert of you. My job is to bring curiosity, questions, observations, a biblical truth, and sometimes a loving challenge, and create enough room for you to notice something that perhaps you didn't see before. So what actually changes in Freedom Camp? Well, I asked the women recently what they have noticed changing in themselves, and their answers are resolving anxiety faster, pausing before responding, becoming less reactive, communicating their needs more clearly, recognizing their own value, having courage to pursue things that they want, questioning expectations that they've carried for years, trusting rest, and becoming more aware of what's actually happening inside of them. And that's what I'm trying to build. Not women who know all the right answers, but women who are increasingly able to notice, to choose, and to become, so that their growth in freedom ripples out to those around them and beyond. So why is it ongoing and not just a 12-week course or some number? And the reason for that is because, at least in my life, I didn't just learn boundaries once and then graduate. I didn't learn to trust God on Tuesday and then check that off. And I don't become emotionally aware and then receive like an emotional awareness stamp or a diploma. Life keeps lifing. Kids change, marriages change, work changes, bodies change, dreams emerge, loss happens, new opportunities show up. And old patterns occasionally put on a fake mustache and try to sneak back in to our lives. And that's why freedom camp is ongoing. Because growing in freedom isn't a light switch moment. Freedom camp doesn't imply that the only way you can become free is to be in freedom camp or that you aren't free and then you are free. It's more of a progression, it's a spectrum. And when I look at my life, I can clearly see in the last um almost two years now of doing freedom camp and facilitating it, how much more freedom I experience in my own life. Because that's the other part of Freedom Camp. Whatever we're doing is a lived experience in me, in my reality. And so that's why Freedom Camp is ongoing, because we are all continuing to grow in our freedom. And so round three begins next Monday on September 7th. And you do not have to have done rounds one and two, you just start where wherever you are. But the enrollment opens only three times a year, and that's really to protect the trust and the safety of the group. Because I want to create a place where we can be real with each other. And if a new woman joined every month, that dynamic would be very difficult to establish and even more difficult to maintain. So what are the actual things that are included? The logistics, so to speak. So we currently meet live virtually on Mondays at 4 p.m. Eastern. And that is completely subject to change as we grow. So don't let that one time stop you. The sessions are recorded. You get a growing library of past sessions and resources. There are worksheets sometimes, there are meditations, there are tools when they're useful. And then we also have an optional in-person gathering and a mini and or a mini retreat three times a year. So we also do a heavily discounted individual coaching option because sometimes something that we are going through in Freedom Camp really stirs something deep within you. And maybe you you want to give it a little more time and you want to really explore it in more of a one-on-one environment. Also, maybe you're going through something. Maybe you're going through grief or a big change in life. Maybe you're starting a business. And so there are opportunities for a discounted one-on-one coaching to happen as well. It is $87 a month. And I don't want you to join though because you're excited about access to a library. Because the library of almost two years now is not freedom camp. The practice is freedom camp. The conversations are freedom camp. The questions are freedom camp. The community is freedom camp. And what happens in you is freedom camp. So what are one of the retreats or the gatherings like? Um, so far there isn't like a set way that they are. There is no cookie cutter really in anything of Freedom Camp. Uh, we just did one this past weekend. We had a mini retreat here at the farm, and I asked everyone to give me a word for what they were leaving with at the end of the retreat. And some of the words that they shared are connected, refreshed, empowered, uplifted, and inspired. So who is freedom camp for? Well, freedom camp may be for you if you love God, but you still find yourself wrestling with fear or control or people pleasing, anything really that is contrary to the freedom that you have in Christ. Um, if you know what you should do, but you keep finding yourself in the same patterns, if other people's moods or expectations have more influence over yours than you'd like. Um, if you're taking care of everybody else and you don't always realize what you need until you're already overwhelmed. And if there's something in you saying, I want to learn how to live the life that I have with more freedom, with more joy, with more uh gratitude, and with more fulfillment, then Freedom Camp is probably for you. One more thing here, because I think this is important, especially for many women. Um, you don't have to perform. I know the demands on most women are massive, and that free time is a very limited luxury. Uh, freedom camp is not meant to be one more thing to do in the midst of everything else. It is meant to accompany and improve the life that you already have. For example, in this next round, we will be incorporating the changing seasons, the holidays, and all the extra challenges that the last four months of the year so often bring into what we are doing to grow in freedom so that all of our lives are better. Um I am all about a two-for-one anything. Uh, one of my most most used quotes is the the definition of insanity is to do the same thing and expect different results. Um I am I am I am all about respecting time and knowing that regardless of whether you are a single mom, a stay-at-home mom, a uh working woman, a single woman, a married no kids, you've got 10 kids and you homeschool all of them and you run a homestead. Regardless, time is precious, and whatever we're doing in Freedom Camp, it's always meant to improve and maximize the life that you already have. I also know that many times we're multitasking, and that ideally we are all able to set aside an hour once a week and join completely focused, camera on, engaged. But it's sometimes we need to join from the car. Great. Sometimes we don't want to talk today, fine. Sometimes you miss, you're not behind. Um sometimes you didn't do the thing that you said you wanted to practice, you're not in trouble. Um, I wanted to share what another freedom camper said. She said, There's no homework. If all you give is that one hour a week, you're still going to get help. And if you miss a class, you won't feel in trouble. So the doors to freedom camp are open right now. This is the final enrollment for 2026. The doors are going to close September 5th at midnight, and we're going to begin round three together on September 7th. And if you've been listening to the podcast and thinking, I wonder if this might be for me. I want to encourage you to not try to figure it out from a podcast or from a web page. Let's just talk. So there's a link below to schedule a conversation. And in that conversation, I want to hear your questions. I want to hear your concerns. Um, you're welcome to ask me anything. And you're not going to get a pitch from me. Um, we're going to figure out together whether Freedom Camp might be a good fit for you. And I'm certainly not going to try to convince you to join. Um, I don't think Freedom Camp is right for every woman until they are ready for it. But it might be right for you. And maybe the question worth carrying this week is simply where in my life am I longing to feel more free? Not someday, not when someone else changes, but in the life I'm living right now. Where would I love to feel more free? Stay curious and keep becoming. If this stirred something in you, let it take root this week and see what grows.
